In-home Family Sessions
As a Lifestyle photographer in the Bay Area, capturing families in their most natural environment is what I do
Everyone knows the saying, “Home is where the heart is.” Well, it’s true. Your home is where all the cuddles, snuggles, and fun takes place. But let’s get real….life isn’t always smiles and fun. Life has tears and struggles and sadness. Every moment makes up part of our story and I encourage you to show up without worrying about what your house looks like, or what you look like right now, and let’s capture whatever is going on in your life at this moment.

What to Expect
Bay Area In-Home Family Photographer
This isn’t going to be the like the photography sessions you remember as a kid. You know the ones where everyone had to get dressed in their best outfit, try not to get dirty or wrinkled in the car to the studio, stand in awkward positions, and somehow try to smile. This session is going to be the opposite. Maybe you’ll cuddle on the couch, make cookies with the little ones, or see who wins playing Connect 4. Whatever makes your family unique, that’s what I’ll capture.

In-Home Family Session
Starting at $850
Home is where the heart is! My signature offering is an in-home storytelling session that captures your family, no matter how big or small. No need for fancy outfits. Let’s just spend time capturing all the crazy moments that make up this stage in your life. Do whatever it is that you love to do. The possibilities are endless. Play games, open a bottle of wine, snuggle on the couch and watch TV, or just play on the floor with the kiddos.
Sessions are 60-90 minutes long.

All your lifestyle in-home family session questions answered
When should I book my family session?
My calendar fills up quickly, especially during the fall, so I encourage you to book early. I open my calendar 3 months in advance, but I’m happy to book further out if you have a date in mind.
When should I schedule my in-home family session?
In-home sessions are best done when the light is best in your home. This is typically mid-morning or mid-afternoon.
What is A Day in Life Photography?
For me, A Day in Life photography is about capturing real people, real relationships, real personalities, real emotions, and real moments. It’s about capturing your life, just as it is now.
It’s about capturing moments that happen in your everyday life: the laughter, the cuddles, and all of the love.
Do you have suggestions about what to wear for our session?
Absolutely. It’s very simple. Wear what makes you, you! There’s no need to go out and buy a fancy outfit. If you’re a jeans and t-shirt kind of person, come as you are! I’m capturing the authentic you, so just show up as yourself. While I don’t have a style guide, I do offer suggestions.
How many images are in a typical gallery, and can I select which images I want to download?
I capture many images during your session. Each image is carefully reviewed to ensure that you receive the very best images that tell your story. Once I have selected the images that represent my work and your story, the edited images will be uploaded to your gallery. RAW and unedited images will not be delivered as they are not representative of my work.
You are able to choose the images from your gallery that you wish to download as part of your collections.
There are usually 50-100 edited images in every gallery.
Are you vaccinated for Covid?
You bet! I’m also up-to-date with pertussis and whooping cough vaccines, so you can rest easy when I’m with your family.

“Life is the flower for which love is the honey.”

Do you charge a travel fee?
My sessions take me to the East Bay, South Bay, North Bay, and Peninsula. There is no travel fee for clients that live within 50 miles of Oakland. There is a $100 fee for locations more than 50 miles away.
Do you offer prints or albums?
Yes! I have always loved to look at photo albums and my home is filled with images of my family. My hope is that every client will turn their images into works of art that will be treasured for years to come. You will have the option to purchase prints, wall art, and albums through your gallery. All products are processed through a professional lab only available to professional photographers to ensure the best quality. I only guarantee quality on products ordered through your gallery.
Do you offer gift certificates?
I sure do. You can choose which collection you would like to gift. The recipient can also choose to upgrade their collection after the session. You can purchase gift certificates, HERE.
What can I expect during and after the session?
You can expect a relaxed experience both during and after your session. Once you’re booked I will send you a link with all the details.
