An In-home Newborn Session with Big Sister Emmalyn!
It’s no secret that I love, love, love in-home newborn sessions. And they are especially fun when there are siblings involved. But sessions with siblings can have challenges. Often, the sibling is used to being an only child. Suddenly there is a new family member hogging all of the attention.
I always start every session by spending time with the sibling. I want them to feel included and special.
I’m a big sister now!
Emmalyn is an amazing big sister and she made that apparent at our shoot! She held her sister, and cuddled and kissed her. One thing’s for certain – baby Avalyn will always have someone looking out for her!
But this session wasn’t all about the baby. We snuck in some fun moments with just Emmalyn, twirling like a ballerina, reading in her room, and jumping on the bed, shh don’t tell mom!
Here’s what mom, Kimmy, had to say about their session.
“We had such an easy time with Leigh Ann. She came into the house and was right at ease to acclimate to the environment. I loved that she came in and warmed up to our 4 year old daughter right from the beginning without pulling out her camera.”
As the photos show, these little ones were so good during the session and already share such a connection. I’m excited to see how they interact and photograph them again as they get older!
