Everything you need to know

before you book

Sometimes you only need an image or two and a mini session is just what you need!

Mini sessions are only offered once or twice a year, usually during the spring and fall. They are at a predetermined location with set dates and run 15-25 minutes, back to back.

Getting booked is as easy as 1-2-3!

Just in time for Mother’s Day!

Mommy & Me Mini Sessions

Time: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Location: Piedmont Park

Step 1: Scheduling Your Session

So how does this work?

You will receive an email with a link to a session booking page. You will choose your date and time and book directly through the booking page. In order to reserve your spot on my calendar, you will need to sign your proposal and pay a session fee of $100. The session fee is payable upon booking to reserve your chosen session date. This is a non-refundable fee that reserves your chosen date. The session is not booked until the session fee is paid in full. The Session Fee covers the Photographer’s time traveling to the shoot, any pre-shoot preparation guide, and planning and photographing the session as well as editing the final images. The Session Fee does not include any digital images, prints, or products. Digital images and products are purchased separately.

  • Since these are limited sessions, they typically sell out the first day, so book early.

After you’re booked I will send you a questionnaire to get to know you and your family better. Mini sessions are best for capturing a few semi-posed images to use for gifts and holiday cards. The short time frame does not allow me to tell your family’s story. (For that you should schedule a full session.)

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

Step 2: Your Session

A few days before our session is scheduled, I’ll reach out to confirm our time, location, and meeting point. If the weather looks questionable, or if someone is not feeling well, we can talk about rescheduling.

On the day of your session, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early. Sessions are scheduled in 15-25 minute increments, back to back. If you are late, we won’t be able to make up the time.

“Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.”

Michael J. Fox

Step 3: The Fun Part

Within 2 weeks of your session, you will receive an email letting you know that I have chosen the very best images from your session and artistically edited them.

I will send you a link to your slideshow gallery. Your gallery will be open for 48 hours to allow you to view your slideshow and images. I highly recommend hooking your laptop up to your TV or large computer monitor and gathering the whole family to view your images. During the time your slideshow gallery link is active, you will also choose your collection.

Once you’ve chosen your collection and completed your check-out, your full gallery will open. Your gallery will remain open for 14 days during which time you can choose the downloads that come with your collection, and use your print credit on items in your store.

I’m just a phone call away if you need help. If you would like to see samples of products that are offered, I have samples and I’m more than happy to meet and show you.

What you do with your images is one of the most important aspects to consider when you’re planning a session. All that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive. You will never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or o the pages of an album. That’s why I include a substantial print credit with every collection. Here are a few of the items you can choose with your print credit.
