It's been a while since I introduced myself, so here goes!
I'm Leigh Ann. I've worn so many hats over the years.......I'm a passionate photographer, a wife, a Mom to 4 amazing adults, a Gigi to Adeline, a dog mom, a nurse practitioner, and an avid reader, just to name a few!
And now I'm adding educator, which I have to admit is really scary, but I'm excited to help other photographers have a successful business. You see, when I started out, I knew nothing about running a business, and I don't think I'm alone.
I really struggled in the beginning and felt like all of my time was spent doing the same tasks over and over. Maybe you know what I'm talking about. Every time a potential client contacted me I spent time writing emails and going back and forth to set up a session. I wasn't organized and I was spending very little time doing what I actually loved, taking photographs and spending time with my family.
But eventually I learned that having systems, workflows, and email templates in place meant spending less time doing tasks and more time with clients. So now, I want to show you the systems that I think are essential to having a successful photography business. I'll share the workflows and email templates that I put in place that simplified my life.

When you think of having family photos, what comes

When you think of having family photos, what comes to mind? I know when my kids were little, I immediatly thought about what everyone was going to wear. And then I stressed about whether the kids were going to cooperate (whatever that means, right?), and finding the perfect location. Does this sound familiar?⠀
⠀
But, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. When I look back at those images, I don't really feel anything. Don't get me wrong, it's great to look back and see how little they were and how much they have changed, but for me, those images don't really invoke many feelings.⠀
⠀
The images that give me the "feels" are the ones that captured moments that I didn't even know I was going to want to remember. Comforting my little ones after a boo boo, snuggling on the couch, their little sleepy faces......I definitely feel something when I look back at those images.⠀

I had such an amazing time at TFN in Palm Springs. I met so many incredible human beings who also happen to be fellow photographers. While I love photographing families, street photography has always held a special place in my heart, and meeting @cornwhizzle was amazing.⠀

I absolutely love to read. So far, for 2023, I'm on book number 12!⠀

I just finished reading "All That is Mine I Carry With Me" by @williamlanday. Fun fact.....he's actually a childhood friend of my husband's. If you haven't read any of his books, I highly recommend them. One of his earlier books, "Defending Jacob" was even made into a movie!⠀

But I know that not everyone loves reading as much as I do, so I'm trying to decide if my new course about systems and workflows should be an eBook, modules, videos, or some combination.⠀

Last week I attended The Family Narrative retreat

Last week I attended The Family Narrative retreat in Palm Springs. It was so exciting to meet other amazing photographers, and learn something new, but I'll share a secret with you. I'm somewhat of an introvert and have pretty bad social anxiety in new settings.⠀

So....it was really hard for me to actually leave my room and participate. But I did it, and I'm so glad I did!⠀
